Custom Made Development
This line of business consists of building a software product considering the client's needs, from modeling the business situation to the implementation of software products. Custom made developments are designed with the intention of making use of them permanently, and eventually converting them into packaged products.
Our development methodology is based in the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and uses the Unified Modeling LanguageT (UML).
The development tools currently used are VisualBasic, ASP, SQL Server, HTML, along with Business Objects, JavaScript, and tools such as Cognos PowerPlay and Metrics Manager.
We have capable resources trained in the use of Microsoft .NET, with both Visual.NET and C#.
Suppport and Maintenance of Applications
This line of business consists of receiving a software system still in production, defining service levels agreements, and based on these, carry out the following activities:
- Attending reports and correcting system malfunctions. (Corrective Maintenance).
- Servicing requests for adding, modifying or discontinuing system functionality.
- Attending user's phone calls with specific questions regarding system's operation (Support).
- Rerouting user phone calls that report errors not related to the system.
- Supporting in operative and administrative processes (registration processes, accounting closures, etc).
Packaged Product Implementation
This line of business consists of taking an existing software product in general use, and installing and configuring it for use by a specific client.
We currently have a group of experts that develop JDEdwards, OneWorld XE components and configuration.
We also have experienced teams skilled in the implementation of multidimensional analysis tools and Executive Information Systems using Cognos PowerPlay and Metrics Manager tools.
Instructional Design
This line of business consists to develop and deliver content for eLearning and eTraining courses that adds value for our customers. We like to say "we transform INFORMATION into KNOWLEDGE and once knowledge is applied, the trainee can acquire the competence you're looking for".
Novutek has a special relationship with The Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON), a well known and respected university in NW Mexico.
We offer Professional Services in Content Design and Development to enhance your organizational performance by applying specialized Instructional Technology designing and implementing Learning Strategies, to develop in your staff the required competences to improve their performance.
We use and offer Instructional Design key processes to reduce the variability in the delivered valued of your products, due by a misuse of the product by your customer.
We also offer a technological platform for your eLearning & eTraining needs via the internet.
Document Digitalization
This line of business consists of converting paper documents into digital format in order to preserve them and facilitate their retrieval.
This process includes the digitalization, cleanup, attribute capture and document classification and indexing, using the best practices in both digitalization processes and data and image capture.
We also offer the conversion of digital format documents into print documents.
